Wyn
Rossouw
Wyn grew up in Durban and after
completing a BSC Degree at the University of Kwa Zula
Natal she moved to Cape Town where she obtained a
Diploma in Medical Technology. She worked in the
department of Microbiology at Medical School, Cape Town.
After many years of nurturing a young family, she
realized her life long dream to explore her passion for
art.
Wyn began art classes under the
guidance of various teachers. Wyn regularly exhibits
with the Constantia Art Society and the South African
Society of Artists, Original Cape Art and Art Portfolio;
these exhibitions usually take place at Kirstenbosch.
Wyn was honoured to have been selected
for Bronze (2006), Silver (2002 and 2007), and Gold
(2004) artworks entered into the Constantia Art
society's annual competition. She was also chosen to
participate in the South African Society of Artists
Merit Exhibitions in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Wyn was thrilled to receive a Commended Oil Award for a
painting submitted for the 101 SASA annual Exhibition
held in October 2007.
Wyn lives in the Southern Suburbs of
Cape Town with her husband and three children. She
paints from her home studio. She is greatly influenced
by the Impressionist and Post Impressionist painters.
Her paintings hang in private homes in South Africa and
abroad.
